Lido Key is home to several beaches including Lido Beach - Pool & Pavilion, North Lido Beach and South Lido Beach. Lido Beach - Pool and Pavilion is the main beach visited by tourists (pictured above) as it provides for a large municipal parking lot, lifeguards on duty, an on-site concession stand with outdoor dining tables, a gift shop, public restrooms, and the nearby 5-lane, 25-meter lap pool. Immediately to the north is North Lido Beach which wraps all the way around the northern tip of the Key providing a scenic beach walk and gorgeous views of New Pass and nearby Longboat Key. Lastly, South Lido Beach provides for a less crowded beach setting with the addition of shaded picnic tables under a canopy of trees.
Just a short 5-10 minute stroll west of St. Armand's Circle is Lido Key public beach. This beach offers beachgoers over a half-mile of breathtaking gulf views and scenic beach to relax on. This public beach offers a large municipal parking lot, street parking, life gaurds on duty year-round as well as a concession and gift shop, restroom facilities, picnic tables and a large swimming pool. After enjoying a relaxing dinner in the Circle, many tourists and locals alike commonly walk to the beach to watch the breathtaking sunsets views over the water.
North Lido Beach, located directly North of the main Lido Beach Pool & Pavilion, extends northward all the way to the tip of the Key. This section of beach is less crowded than the main public beach and provides for some of the most majestic beach views of natural Florida and its aqua-colored gulf waters (pictured below). Parking for North Lido Beach is more limited and popular options include west of the Circle or along Ben Franklin Drive.
South Lido Beach, located at the southern End of Lido, offers both panoramic beach views as well as a park-like setting. There is plenty of on-site parking, shaded picnic tables, walking trails and public restrooms. South Lido Beach is also a popular destination for beach weddings as well as the landing site of skydiving adventurists seeking a soft landing on the sand.
