Downtown Venice, a popular tourist destination, features the charm of small town America with its "old world" Italian Renaissance styled buildings and bright colored awnings. West Venice Avenue, which is at the epicenter of this "City on the Gulf," is home to boutique retail shops, dining establishments, ice cream and coffee shops as well as art galleries, salons and spas. Many of the Avenue's popular names are restaurants including the Daiquiri Deck, Made In Italy, Flynn's, the Soda Fountain and 3 Little Pigs BBQ.
Just one street to the south is Miami Avenue which offers additional sidewalk cafes, restaurants, and boutiques near the highly recognized Bergundy Square building. To the north of West Venice Avenue is Centennial Park and Tampa Avenue which is home to many outdoor festivals, art shows, and musical performances year-round.
For your convenience, we have listed many of the Venice Island coffee houses, breakfast cafes and restaurants further down this page. We have also listed information about the many weekly and annual events that take place in the downtown area as well as available free and handicap parking information if you are visiting the downtown Venice for the first time.
